I understand. It’s not an easy one for Kurapika by any means. Kurapika does have other eyes, though, and he has his own eyes. As long as he is alive, his culture is as well.
Do you think Kurapika and Chrollo will solve their major issues and sort out their feeling in this arc or will some of them carry on to fake+dark continent arc?
I actually think Kurapika and Chrollo’s focus is only going to be the succession contest! I kind of suspect the focus will shift to Ging, Pariston, and Leorio (please he needs an arc please, + he’s been tied to both those characters) once we reach the Dark Continent. I kind of hope they’ll have somehow escaped by then, though they could also be on the DC and just like, leave whenever Leorio does.
What do you think of Shizuku teaming up with Chrollo and asking him to read her fortune again? Who else will die in the phantom troupe (in your opinion)? Also do u hate hisoka for killing Shalnark n Coltopi?
I think it’s a major death flag for her. I think both Shizuku and Bonolenov are likely to die, as is Franklin. Shizuku and Bonolenov being with Chrollo, their abilities noted to be poorly matched for Bungee Gum, and Shizuku’s ability cleaning up the Phantom Troupe’s messes (literally)… it doesn’t look good for them. Franklin also doesn’t really have much of an arc. Nobunaga, Machi, Feitan, and Phinks hopefully have a little more development coming, since they were the main four + Paku involved in arguing over whether to save Chrollo or not (and I think that central question–follow an ideology or save a person, is key to Kurapika and Chrollo’s characters this arc). Kalluto and Illumi are of course going to be fine, thanks to Killua plot armor. Though I’m suspicious of Illumi’s loyalties.
No, I don’t hate Hisoka! Though of course I was Not Happy when it happened. He’s always been a murderer and he’s a more fleshed out character than either of those two were. Kortopi’s personality amounted to “mop.” I did like Shalnark though and was sad Hisoka killed him. I was mad at him, but I am also mad at Chrollo for their deaths, even if he didn’t kill them.
If Chrollo hadn’t needed to prove his strength by fighting Hisoka, if he hadn’t borrowed their abilities, if he didn’t go around creating so many enemies by not contemplating whether or not he really needs to kill people–well, not just Shalnark and Kortopi, but Pakunoda and Uvogin might very well be alive as well.

Gon’s question is the question, and it is indeed the key to understanding himself for Chrollo. Please accept that you are a human as well with human needs like connection and try to forge them instead of wavering on this line of being aloof and connecting at the same time. Please heed your wakeup call; I can’t handle you dying just yet.
What do you think will everyone’s reaction be IF the 14th prince woble (the youngest and least influental out of the fourteen princes) suddenly get the phantom troupe as her bodyguards?
I MEAN I wrote a fanfiction about this exact thing happening… Lol. But for real if they team up I think it’ll mostly be under the guise of let’s get the hell out of here asap.
I would love to see Queen Oito saying, “suck it, Tserriednich” and stepping on him on her way off the boat, though. And seeing Nasubi and being like “would rather be a single mother aided by thieves than your queen, bitch.”
Kinda, very salty that Nejire is the only one in the big 3 who doesn’t have a character arc. She deserves better!
I, too, am salty about this. Give her an arc and for the love of All Might give Uraraka one and expand Momo’s. Lol.
Halkenburg is an Illumi foil in addition to being a Chrollo and Kurapika one: wanting to protect his siblings but also primarily himself and that’s competing, and he is seemingly going to hurt his siblings in the end instead. It’s almost like this arc is… warning… literally everyone in the cast.
Nature vs nurture is such an intriguing concept when it comes to personality growth and personal choices, and you can use it to compare and contrast characters in meaningful and compelling ways BUT JESUS CHRIST so many authors SUCK at utilizing it like OH MY GOD if I read one more fucking book that boils it down to: character A was abused as a kid, and they are intrinsically evil, bad, and irredeemable because they were born that way and thus, they abuse others vs character B was abused as a kid, and they are intrinsically good, perfect, and virtuous because they were born that way and thus, their abuse only made them stronger/better instead of angry/violent (the only two possible reactions to abuse, apparently) and in fact they rarely experience negative emotions except sad
Stop doing this. Stop writing this. It is lazy and stupid.
I’ve been thinking what if endeavor proposed to rei normally? from what I seen in endevoirs flashback, rei didn’t look oppressed she looked fine I’m not saying shotos story is wrong but his story could be full of holes I believe endeavor didn’t use his power to force rei to merry him because endeavor is not the type who would use his power to get what he wants in fact he actually follows the rules and works really hard. my theory is that rei went with him on her own will.
I don’t think Shouto thinks Endeavor used his power to marry her forcefully. He used his power to impress her family who agreed to make Rei marry him. Even if he was polite to her before the wedding, and he probably was, it was not a love match. Arranged marriage is perfectly legitimate and there’s nothing inherently wrong with it if both parties want it, and Rei very possibly consented to an arranged marriage, but he then abused her, so whether or not she went with him of her own will is irrelevant to the later abuse.
what was your first impression on dabi?
I thought he looked like a cool villain but wasn’t intrigued until he confronted Shouto, and then I started to get…. curious. Lol.
Do u think the genei ryodan will ally themselves with prince woble or any other princes in particular? If so, how will the circumstances be n what will be Kurapika n co reaction? Also, what are your thought on Gon, Killua, n Alluka should the author decide to finally bring them back in the manga? (Sorry if my english is messy! It is not my first language)
No need to apologize for your English! It’s great.
I think the Phantom Troupe will stay out of the war until they have their own numbers whittled down, at which point Kurapika is probably also going to be needing allies to Get Off The Ship. Yes, I really do think there’s a strong chance of Kurapika and Chrollo having to team up, or at least Kurapika teaming up with some PT members (for example, he’s not gonna kill Killua’s brothers).
They’ll all probably have to make a choice: revenge (on the PT for Kurapika, on Hisoka for Chrollo), or survival of you and your loved ones (the PT for Chrollo, and Woble and Oito for Kurapika)? Your greedy goals (the eyes for Kurapika, the treasure for Chrollo, both of which are Tserriednich’s) or the lives of those around you? Kurapika made that choice for Gon and Killua over revenge last time. This time I think he’ll have to give up his quest for Oito and Woble. Chrollo will likely face a similar choice, and I hope he chooses his friends. I actually do think he will.
I think Illumi is likely to go after Alluka again (again why Illumi and Kalluto have no real risk this arc) at some point, and Gon and Hisoka have to meet again as well. I think Gon needs to get his nen abilities back (likely in Meteor City, wherein a foil set up for him who is also a CA–Gyro–is waiting). I think Killua needs to face Kalluto and realize it’s not enough to protect Alluka, but instead he’s also abandoned Kalluto in some sense (it’s complicated and I’m not blaming Killua but we know Kalluto desperately wants him back and Killua does not acknowledge this in the family relationship chart). I also think Silva needs to be confronted and sworn off, and I hope Illumi and Milluki can follow Killua as well and ditch their parents, but we’ll see.
