The Zoldyck family and their massive dysfunction and the fact that they’re entirely comprised of murder children. I love all of the kids in that family. Silva and Kikyo can eat rocks. Illumi is a heartbreaking antagonist who has no concept of love based on how he was raised and doesn’t seem to understand that he tries to control because he associates control with love to cope with the fact that his parents’ love is actually a horrific unhealthy form of love, if you can call it that at all. He gets engaged to someone with a murder pact because again, he can’t understand love without that kind of control. and Killua is one of the best written characters I can think of–his development had me screaming. Killua and Gon’s relationship also dramatically foils Illumi and Hisoka’s–Killua and Gon struggle but are working out what it means to be loved and to be friends whereas Illumi and Hisoka the suicidal hedonist can’t understand that at all and associate engagement with their business of murder. (If you combine Illumi and hisoka’s characters you get Furuta by the way.) Alluka is fascinating and needs to be protected but I also think has a powerful bond with Killua and an important role to play, and Kalluto doesn’t have a ton of screen time but what he does have is really intriguing and I want more from him. Milluki is. Y far less developed but provides such an interesting foil to the rest of his siblings. Basically they’re all great foils of each other and I’d die for any of them.

My other favorite part is how absolutely hot Chrollo is. Personally nah but of my goodness he is perfection in the male form. *fans self*
