Now that snk is more dramatic more than ever do you think that yams in some way will reveal that the baby is of Eren and don’t the farmer guy

I don’t. Please see these three asks I answered within the past hour.

I really do mean it when I say I don’t want another ask about this (it’s not ire directed at you Anon, and I am sorry if it seems that way–I’m not annoyed with you, I promise. It’s a sensitive subject and so I’m a bit frustrated), and I won’t be answering any further asks on it. I don’t see the appeal of this being a twist because it serves no purpose nor fits with Eren’s development, Historia’s development, the timeline, the themes, and is definitely not what you want for your ship. I remember when the news of the pregnancy came out most Erehisu fans did not want Eren to be the father, because like, him forcing Historia into a pregnancy she does not want would be horrible and make Eren into a truly monstrous person. Historia and Eren are my second and third favorite characters, so I would really prefer not to see their arcs go this way.

Why do you prefer Kurokura to Leopika? Not hating of course, I’m just interested in your perspective since you’re pretty good at character analysis.

No worries! This is just my personal taste and opinion, saying nothing about canon (Kurokura is not gonna be canon lol). In my opinion, it comes down to that the crux of Kurapika’s emotional arc and development comes from his relationship with Chrollo, rather than with Leorio.

Like, contrast them with Gon and Killua. Gon and Killua are co-protagonists in their arcs, and honestly in Yorknew and this current arc, Chrollo and Kurapika are again like co-protagonists (protagonists can also be antagonists, I simply mean we follow them and their motives throughout the arc). Leorio does not have an arc nor really any focus so far. He’s the same person as he was at the start of the story. He’s wonderfully supportive and of course many people like the ship and kudos to them for loving it, and I myself think it’s very cute and like Leopika (really I do!), but Kurapika and Chrollo’s relationship forces them both to grow. There’s emotional weight to it–their development primarily arises from their conflict with each other in Yorknew, and they seemed destined to meet again this arc–whereas with Leorio and Kurapika it’s just kind of Leorio trying to be supportive, Kurapika brushing him off, and no current challenges to this status quo (I do expect a challenge eventually. I hope. They have some great corresponding characteristics, like Kurapika is really very emotional like Leorio but represses it, and uses logic instead). But for me, I tend to like ships in which both characters will challenge one another, force a new perspective, etc. But that’s just my personal taste.

Tbh I think Eren might have changed his stance in regards to breeding Historia. It’s like what Jean said to Mikasa a few chapters ago. Eren had once tried everything to keep her and his friends away from battle, but now his stance has changed completely, with him calling them to battle instead. I think it’s possible he also did a 180 on Historia’s situation as well.

I really don’t want asks on this anymore. It’s a sensitive subject. I’ve said my piece. Nothing’s changed and we have no new information to change my mind at this point; if it does I’ll let you know. As I said in my previous ask, that’s not what would generally be considered good writing, and I would honestly be appalled.

Hmm… You seem you know a lot, but there‘s a theory going on that Isayama is foreshadowing the child to be Eren‘s by having Chapter 89‘s scene ending with Krueger telling Grisha to “start a family“ with Historia‘s baby bombshell in 107- because apparently both begin with EXACT sequence of Hange questioning Eren.

Haha, I mean, I don’t know Isayama’s mind (who does?)

But I don’t think anything of that, really. I could always be wrong and I don’t really care if it is Eren’s since it’s pretty clearly a tragic situation and not love, but there’s really nothing narratively gained by the baby being Eren’s. Historia is miserable with this pregnancy. If she was pregnant with the child of someone she cared for, I don’t think her misery would be so clearly articulated. Also, Eren expressly stated he was appalled by the idea that Historia would be forced to have kids; he’s not going to force her into a pregnancy that is obviously making her miserable.

Not only that, but considering both Eren and Historia have unresolved explicitly romantic build up with other characters (while you can argue their build up is ambiguous, you can’t argue Mikasa’s feelings for Eren or Ymir and Historia’s for each other are platonic), it’s just. Gonna be nearly impossible to pull of writing-wise.

If it was Eren’s, Eren would have gone back on what he said in the chapter it was revealed–that Historia being forced to have kids is wrong–because Historia is absolutely miserable. The other relationships would have been dropped, including Historia’s beautiful one with Ymir which would reek of bury your gays. I think Isayama for all his writing flaws–and he has many–is better than that.

Do you believe shoto would use blue flames in the chapter what if he doesn’t?

Sorry, Anon, I hope I don’t sound annoyed at you, but I have answered this a few times xD Yes, I think it’s likely. If he doesn’t, I’m curious as to what he will do. It doesn’t really matter to me, though. I don’t find this arc compelling (at all) so if it’s a bit snoozy I wouldn’t be surprised, but of course I’m going to hope for something with ramifications.

Speaking of brothers parrales I was think about touya and Shouto and tenya and tensei like they bare many similarities in name like tensei and tenya share ten in their names and shoto and touya share ou and to in their names I feel like shoto and tenya brother parallels are going to begin soon

Well, I don’t know about the parallels in terms of names since I can’t speak Japanese and don’t know what the lettering is, but yes, I would like to see more parallels beginning soon! We clearly didn’t drop the Todoroki Touya plotline like I thought we were, so I’m hoping it gets some steady development.
