thoughts on what you think is gonna happen to levi and eren by the end of the manga

😦

I genuinely think they are both going to die. Eren I am as certain as you can be (which is to say very certain, but you never know) that he will die. I do believe he will have a redemptive moment wherein he connects with Armin and Mikasa again, and his death will mean something for saving everyone, but I do think he will die.

I also think Levi will die, close to the end but before the others like Eren more likely, because of the curse of the mentor figure. I hope I am wrong. I do think he and Eren will have a vital moment together before he dies, though, even if Eren responds poorly, in which Levi will tell him something that will matter later down the line. Levi cares deeply and I care that his final moments reflect that, and reflect what a strong, amazing, good dad character he really is. I really hope I’m wrong on this but again, remember, I am generally a character survival pessimist.Ā

How do you expect them to save Falco? I mean, what can they do now that he already drank the fluid? Zeke said that a small amount would be enough to create a path between him and the person who ingested it. the only end I see for this is Reiner sacrificing himself to bring Falco back, but still it will be sad. Falco will have a short life and when he dies Gabi will be alone. They are going through all this together and well… she will lose the last person capable of understanding her

Killing Zeke before he turns them all into titans, honestly. I think the manga is approaching its end (maybe a few more volumes?), so I am not sure it will be very long.

I really don’t think that will happen. It could, of course. One never knows. But I don’t think so because it seems to be a repeat of what’s going on with Armin, which would contribute to the cycle that never ends nihilistic ending idea, which I just… I don’t buy it. I really don’t. It’s possible, of course, and there are many ways it could work, but it also does not seem to work with statements like this:

image

ā€œThe shouldering of the crimes and hatred of the past is the responsibility of us adults.ā€Ā

The entire series is really focused on the ways adults force children to act for them. Grisha forced Zeke to be a spy. He forced Eren to be a titan. The military in Paradis runs on child soldiers. Historia suffered for who her parents were. Ymir suffered for being forced to become a figurehead when she was just a starving child. Marlay brainwashes kids like Annie, Reiner, Bertolt, and now Gabi and Falco.Ā

But Gabi and Falco have a chance. It’s notable that Armin and Mikasa are the ones who save her, when she’s basically female Eren. I still genuinely expect the majority of the cast to die, but the kids–Gabi and Falco–to live. I could be wrong and what you suggest could happen, but I also think the titanization needs to end by the end of the story.Ā

Gabi was criying after Kaya tried to kill her? God she needs to change it’s so annoying xD

Gabi does need to change. That’s the point. She’s a traumatized child receiving consequences, which was why she was upset. Falco, her rock, was hurt. She’s getting a redemption arc, which is generally denied female characters, so I’m quite happy with this development.Ā

If your response to a traumatized child who has been brainwashed isĀ ā€œyou’re annoyingā€ please reconsider your empathy. A smiley face isn’t cute when we’re talking about such a subject. Please remember that she gets a ton of hate and most of it is illogical, and writing on anon makes me less likely to give the benefit of the doubt.

Anyways, people who don’t like Gabi are going to be veerrrry disappointed by the ending, most likely.Ā

The translation released. It’s confirmed, the vine was poisoned with Zeke’s fluid, and Falco ended up drinking a little of it(which, according to Zeke, is enough). Now, what will become of our boy?

I think Gabi is going to have to save him. Or work with our SC cast to do so since she’s just a kid. Falco’s been all about trying to save Gabi from becoming a titan; now the roles have been reversed and Gabi is going to have to try to save Falco from becoming a (mindless) titan.Ā

I really still don’t see Falco becoming a titan, honestly. I think Mr. Braus’s words this chapter were the moral of the story: the adults will shoulder the responsibility for the younger kids. I think they will be okay.Ā

Speaking of brothers parrales I was think about touya and Shouto and tenya and tensei like they bare many similarities in name like tensei and tenya share ten in their names and shoto and touya share ou and to in their names I feel like shoto and tenya brother parallels are going to begin soon

Well, I don’t know about the parallels in terms of names since I can’t speak Japanese and don’t know what the lettering is, but yes, I would like to see more parallels beginning soon! We clearly didn’t drop the Todoroki Touya plotline like I thought we were, so I’m hoping it gets some steady development.

Tenya and Tensei do have a connection in their names, but it’s actually not justĀ ā€œtenā€. Because of Japanese naming order, they’reĀ ā€œIda Tenā€. If you’ve read Vigilantes, you’ll also notice Tensei’s agency is calledĀ ā€œTeam Idatenā€. Idaten is the Japanese name for Skanda/Wei-Tuo – among other things, a fast runner. That part of the god’s image became so prevalent in the Japanese imagination that it became a colloquial way of sayingĀ ā€œgreat runnerā€.Ā

Basically their names are big puns.

The official translator for MHA wrote a full thread about that here!Ā

Touya and Shouto and Enji do have a similarity in their names too, but it’s actually not the sounds:

ē‚Žåø (Enji) -> ⽕ (fire) radical in

ē‚Ž (clearly)
ē‡ˆēŸ¢ (Touya) ->

⽕ (fire) radical in ē‡ˆ
ē„¦å‡ (Shouto) -> ⽕ (fire) radical in 焦

While Natsuo’s looking left out here, let’s once again take the first character in Shouto’s name andĀ do the same thing with Natsuo and Shouto:

夏雄 (Natsuo) -> 隹 (small bird) component in 雄

ē„¦å‡ (Shouto) ->

隹 (small bird) component in

焦

Yes, the similarities to Shouto’s family (or at least the male members) are all in the first character, 焦. Interestingly, while the radical is ⽕ (fire), the dictionary says its components are 隹 (small bird) andĀ ę° (hero).Ā

By using the second character in Shouto’s name,

凍

, you can connect him to the rest of his family members:Ā

冷 (Rei) -> ā¼Ž(ice) radical in 冷

冬ē¾Ž (Fuyumi) ->

ā¼Ž

(ice) radical in

冬

ē„¦å‡ (Shouto)

-> ā¼Ž (ice) radical in

凍

And finally, because Natsuo is once again looking left out, you can still connect him to someone else in his family:

冬ē¾Ž (Fuyumi) ->

ā¼¢

(go slowly, winter) radical in 冬

夏雄 (Natsuo) ->

ā¼¢ (go slowly, winter) radical in

夏

(Besides the fact that Fuyumi’s 冬 is winter and Natsuo’s 夏 is summer).Ā

Bless you Luna!!!!
