This is literally the exact same scenario as Mutsuki with Yoriko to get to Kaneki. It’s narrative karma Kaneki found himself in that situation for what he did to Shiono, the cycle of tragedy repeating again. It’s gotta end.

The narrative also seems to make it clear that Shiono is like Eto’s adopted father, like Shachi is for Rize, and the narrative goes out of its way to point out what Eto did to Kuzen, and what Kuzen did to her… it’s all karmic and so tragic and gosh this cycle has got to end.

Ui is so done. It’s also such a contrast to his demeanor before losing Hairu.

It’s interesting to me that Urie visits Hinami because geez louise do the visual parallels between her and Mutsuki appear strong in this arc.

Oh my god Amon really. You’re both ghouls. But also, here’s the thing. What Amon is saying and doing isn’t necessarily good or bad. He’s deceived too, yes, they’re both deceived, but something doesn’t have to be 100% good or clear or true to save someone.
