I LOVE Ikalgo. He’s like… so sweet and wholesome and as you’ve said to me, he represents the healthier aspects of Killua’s friendship, whereas Palm represents the less healthy aspects. But I’m going to actually go with Palm. 

I actually think Palm is one of the best written female characters not just in HxH but in most mangas I’ve read. She really deconstructs the whole “stalker yandere girl” stereotype, and again as you’ve said to me, all the men keep trying to put her into stereotypical damsel in distress roles or assuming she’ll be sleeping with the king to bear his children, and that isn’t what happens at all. She’s capable of making her own decisions, and her loyalty is one of her best qualities even if she needs to temper her obsessiveness. In the end, she’s the bravest and most selfless of all of the characters in the Chimera Ant arc, besides perhaps Ikalgo imo.
