Yike.
When I first read the correlating chapter, the sheer brutality of Mike’s death escaped me. Fun things like talking Titans who could control titans and the fall of Wall Rose were going on. Also I read it way too fast to dwell on the recurring horror of people being eaten alive.
Flash forward several years, and yeah, this is legitimately horrifying. Amazing what a few screams and moving spurts of blood can do.
What then made it ten times worse was the realization that this is exactly how Fay dies. Surrounded by feral dogs set loose by their handler, dying in a carnal mess as her body is ripped to shreds because her basic humanity is denied.
For added fun, this round, the handler is Fay’s nephew.
