Bakugo won and shown character development: cool At the expense of tokage : not cool I want to be happy but tokage hyped up only for it to not matter unless horikoshi pulls a surprise kinda disappointed maybe it’s cause I’m not that much of a Bakugo fan

Yeah, I can see that! I was happy with Bakugou’s development (finally development in this arc, finally, I’ve been waiting 84 years lmao). But Tokage was built up for no reason as well which is definitely frustrating. Sigh. And, to be honest, I’m still hoping for Bakugou to get even more development (and apologize to Deku).

Hey hamlet how are ya i think I have a cool idea for the traitor arc ( and when I say cool I mean dumb probably) how about ururaka goes undercover as a false traitor and figure out who the real one is , only aizawa and the principal will know including hatsume for gear and upgrades she could also have partners like tsyu and maybe jiro what do ya think? Its dumb isn’t it it’s ok you can tell me

I would LOVE to see this! It is not stupid. Idk if it will happen, but DAMN someone write it. It’d be a cool parallel to Hawks, especially given her similar family situation (poverty), and I would just love to see her complexity explored more.

Me : I wander what’s going on with hamlet on Twitter? Oh Mmmm well hopefully the next bnha chapter will lighten the mood

I saw spoilers!!! I was hoping for something more… impactful for the 200th chapter but I will take that moment at the end. 😀 It is, however… unfortunate timing for mushroom quirk.

Yeah haha,  US politics are a shitshow right now (always, but also now), sorry for tweeting a lot about it. I also locked my account temporarily on account of Stuff, but it’ll be back to normal later.

” reads hamlets opinion on tg and cries ” well I have to say it makes me sad to hear you felt that way about tg after all its thanks to tg that I even found you at least you found other fandoms you can enjoy and I can’t blame you for not wanting to be involved anymore the fandom becoming toxic plus the final arc Its understandable .

I’m very grateful to TG for the time and entertainment it gave me! I still like the people I met through it and am so profoundly grateful to have met all of them, including you, friend!! I have no regrets about all the time I spent stanning the series.

Hmm? I don’t think horikoshi treats his girls badly does he ? I mean yea non of them has gotten an arc yet but he’s clearly building up to it with ochaco and yea theres the fanservice but it’s not nearly as bad as other shows

Oh, the portrayal is not offensive by any means and I want to clarify I didn’t mean to imply that! It just leaves something to be desired; that’s what I meant. It’s pretty on par for most media standards I think? Mineta as comic relief, and the fact that all the pro hero females have the exact same body type (thick thighs, big prominently drawn boobs) is… mrrrrr for me as a woman who therefore kind of likes to see females portrayed complexly. While many shonens have done way worse, you’re absolutely right, many other shonens have done much better, as well. SnK and HxH both have fantastic female casts, for example, even though proportional to the men HxH is lacking. Just, compared to the male characters the female ones don’t have the same complexity, and Uraraka’s defining trait currently is future love interest, despite having the set up for a complex arc with her motives to be a hero. I do think she’ll get a good arc like Iida did (and Uraraka is one of my favorites regardless because of that delicious potential), but it’s not really what she could have in comparison to, say, female love interests who have their own long-running arcs like Mikasa Ackerman, Touka Kirishima, Komugi, Lizzie Midford, etc. I have very much enjoyed Jirou and Momo’s mini arcs, though, and think that the fanservice is probably a victim of editorial issues. The female characters aren’t bad and it doesn’t ruin my enjoyment of the series in any way, but they’re just not a strong selling point of the series.

Hamlit gives re a 2/10 ” cries self to sleep” seriously tho come on dont you think that’s a little harsh like yea the last arc left much to be desired but a 2/10?

Haha, nope. It’s my personal opinion and I stand by it.

Endings really matter to me. I am not more about the journey than the destination, and that’s totally fine and isn’t somehow a worse way of enjoying fiction than enjoying the journey more than the destination. If a story sets up the idea that the destination matters (like TG did) but doesn’t deliver, and the themes cave in on themselves as I feel like they did, I just–it really, really does change how I view the work as a whole. Though I guess I should say that I separate the enjoyment of the journey from the total conclusion on the quality. I do still love TG, but my ratings are my opinions on the quality of the story also, not so much whether or not I like them. I still loved TG and the journey was great for me, but how I assess TG’s overall quality has been affected, if that makes sense.
